Bradford Live first opened in 1930 as The New Victoria, and if you’re picturing a nice little local picture house, think considerably bigger. This was one of the largest, most opulent art deco cine-variety theatres ever built in Britain — a full-blown statement of ambition from a city that had always thought grandly. Soaring ceilings.
