The Piece Hall has earned its place on the world stage, hosting internationally renowned musicians — artists like Madness, Billy Ocean and The Sissor Sisters who draw fans from across the UK and around the globe, establishing Halifax as a destination for major live events.
But that's only half the story. At the heart of The Piece Hall Trust's mission is its community: engaging local people and bringing the building's remarkable history to life through events and learning experiences for all ages — collaborative, creative, inclusive, and entertaining, with many free or heavily subsidised.
The same courtyard that welcomes world-class headliners comes alive year-round with a diverse, multicultural programme, alongside charity initiatives like the annual Big Sleep Out and Calderdale Lighthouse Christmas Wrap.
